job pls is an interview practice coach that lives in your text messages. that means your practice is personal, and this page says plainly what we collect, why, and how you delete it. the short version: we collect what the coaching needs, we sell none of it, and you can erase everything whenever you want.

what we collect

your phone number. it’s how the coach knows it’s you. when you first text us we check the line type (mobile vs landline or VoIP) through a lookup service to keep spam and abuse out.

your messages and voice memos. the texts you send, and transcripts of your voice memos. transcription is the product: the coach reads what you actually said so it can give you a real fix. your coaching history is kept so the coach remembers your stories, your situation, and where you left off. we only ever reply to a message you sent; we do not send scheduled or unprompted texts. text STOP at any time to stop all messages.

your interview plan. if you build a plan on the site, we keep the role and timing you entered and which page you came from, so the plan and the coach can start from it. that plan is joined to your number by the short code in your first text.

payment details, if you buy. payments are handled by Stripe. we never see or store your card number; we keep the record of the purchase Stripe tells us about (what, when, and how much).

site analytics and ad measurement. if you browse jobpls.app we use PostHog to see which pages help people, and we log errors so we can fix them. we also run Google Ads and Meta ads. when you arrive from one of those ads we keep the ad click id and campaign tags, and if you later start or buy we tell that ad platform that a start or a purchase happened, with the value and the click id only. we never send them your phone number (raw or hashed), your role, your company, your interview date, your resume or job description, your transcripts, your scores, or anything you said. in PostHog session replay, phone numbers, message content, resume content, and checkout fields are masked. no data brokers.

how we use it

to run your coaching sessions, remember your context between them, take your payment if you buy, keep the service safe, and make the product better. that’s the whole list. we do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers, and we never post, quote, or showcase your practice answers anywhere.

the AI part, plainly

your messages and voice memos are processed by AI providers to transcribe your audio and generate your coach’s replies. we use these providers under API terms that do not allow your data to be used to train their models. your answers are yours; the practice stays between you and your coach.

who touches the data

only the services required to run job pls: our messaging provider (delivers the texts), our AI providers (transcription and coaching), Stripe (payments), our phone-line lookup service (spam prevention), PostHog (site analytics), Google and Meta (ad measurement, click ids and event values only), and our hosting and storage providers. each gets the minimum it needs to do its job, and nothing else.

how long we keep it

your coaching history sticks around while you use job pls, because a coach with amnesia is useless. if you delete your data, it’s gone: messages, transcripts, voice memos, and your number. delete and text us again later, and you come back as a brand new user.

deleting your data

use the delete form on the support page, confirmed by text to the number you practice from, or email hello@jobpls.app from anywhere. either way it’s honored, not slow-walked.

your rights

wherever you live, we treat these as standard: ask what we have about you, get a copy, correct it, or delete it. email hello@jobpls.app and a human will handle it.

age

job pls is for people old enough to be interviewing for jobs, and not for children under 13. if you believe a child has used the service, email us and we’ll delete the data.

changes

if this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top. we won’t quietly expand what we collect.
